Emilia-Romagna car insurance premiums fall 2% annually

In August 2026, the average cost for fourth-wheel vehicle insurance in the Emilia-Romagna region was 554.12 euros, representing a 2% annual decrease. This follows a broader national trend where insurance tariffs in Italy decreased by 3.9% over a six-month period.

Within the region, insurance costs varied significantly by province. Reggio Emilia recorded the highest average premium at 582.98 euros, a 2.3% increase. Piacenza followed with 581.36 euros, up 2.6%, and Forlì-Cesena saw a 3.2% increase to 562.79 euros. Conversely, Rimini experienced a 7.6% decrease, bringing its average premium to 561.94 euros.

The lowest insurance costs in the region were found in Parma, at 520.37 euros (a 5.1% decrease), and Bologna, at 542.68 euros (a 2.9% decrease).
