Emilia-Romagna launches regional steering committee for four airports

In Emilia-Romagna, a new regional steering committee has been established to coordinate the development of the region's four airports: Bologna, Parma, Forlì, and Rimini. This initiative, stemming from regional law passed in April, aims to integrate these hubs with public transport, tourism, logistics, and the local production system to move away from isolated management toward a unified regional strategy.

In Rome, a FlixBus survey regarding the Tiburtina bus station indicates that while the hub is highly rated for its position and services, passengers expressed concerns regarding perceived security and a lack of adequate waiting areas. This data is part of a national plan to propose improvements for bus stations ahead of the upcoming Budget Law.

At Foggia's Gino Lisa Airport, Aeroitalia's flight data shows significant demand for routes to Milan Linate, Turin, and Bergamo. Specifically, the Milan Linate route maintains a load factor of approximately 66%, leading to calls for a second daily flight to accommodate business travelers and prevent logistical bottlenecks.

Additionally, in Ancona, a new management model has been approved for the Mole Vanvitelliana to prepare for the city's role as the Italian Capital of Culture in 2028. The new five-year contract will expand services, including seven-day-a-week operations and enhanced security coordination.
