Emilia-Romagna wins 2026 FIV Zone sailing championship

The Emilia-Romagna XI Zone has secured the 2026 FIV Zone Championship title following a competition held in the Gulf of Gaeta from October 1 to 4. The regatta featured nine territorial representatives from the Italian Sailing Federation, competing in light wind conditions ranging between 4 and 8 knots.

This year’s championship emphasized youth and diversity, requiring all crews to be mixed-gender and composed of members under the age of 25. Following the results of the three-day event, Sicily (VII Zone) took second place, and Lazio (IV Zone) finished third.

The event was organized by the Italian Sailing Federation in collaboration with the Guardia di Finanza Sailing Section, the IV Zone FIV Committee, and the Yacht Club Gaeta E.V.S.
