Emiliano García-Page to release book defending ‘reasonable politics’

Emiliano García-Page, the President of Castilla-La Mancha, has announced the upcoming release of his first book, ‘Luces de emergencia. Contra los populismos y el frentismo’ (Emergency Lights. Against Populism and Frentism), scheduled for publication on October 28.

In a video message, García-Page described the work as an effort to promote “reasonable politics” and combat what he termed “simple populisms” that distort reality. He stated that his goal is to offer “optimism, much hope, and reasons” to Spaniards, particularly the younger generation, in a time he characterized by “much unreason.”

The 288-page volume, published by Espasa, combines political memory with reflections on the Spanish Transition, the 1978 Constitution, the autonomous state system, and the role of Europe. The book includes reviews of various political figures and addresses issues such as independence movements and the deterioration of public debate.
