Emiliano Grillo fires 67 in US Open third round to tie for sixth place
Argentine PGA Tour player Emiliano Grillo posted a 3‑under 67 in the third round of the U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills, recording four consecutive birdies on holes 6‑9. His round placed him in a tie for sixth, seven strokes behind leader Windham Clark, and made him one of only two players to finish under par on Saturday.
Grillo, 33, has two PGA Tour victories and previously finished sixth at the 2023 British Open, his best major result. He noted the advantage of watching the course on TV before teeing off, saying, "We kind of know what's going to happen there. It's nice to see it on TV before we go out. That always helps." He added, "When you're on the 10th tee at four under in the US Open, you're just eager to finish."
