Emiliano Messina elected to Taranto provincial council

Sunday's elections renewed the Provincial Council of Taranto, resulting in the election of Emiliano Messina, the candidate backed by the Union of the Center (UDC). Regional UDC commissioner Gianfranco Chiarelli expressed strong satisfaction, saying the victory demonstrates the party’s deep roots in the territory and its ability to win trust through consistent local engagement.

Chiarelli highlighted the continuous work of UDC’s local administrators, councillors and assessors, describing the result as a proof of the party’s capacity for dialogue, responsibility and cohesion. He noted that the success encourages the UDC to expand its membership base and continue supporting the province’s needs.
