Emiliano Zapata to host emergency services educational event

The municipal government of Emiliano Zapata, Hidalgo, is organizing the “Bomberos y Paramédicos por un Día” (Firefighters and Paramedics for a Day) event. Designed for children and adolescents, the initiative aims to provide an educational experience regarding the work performed by emergency responders.

Mayor Nelyda Hernández Palomares stated the program is intended to allow minors to learn through play and understand the daily service provided by these professionals. The event will include awareness talks and recreational activities focused on fire response, rescues, and risk management. Humberto Durán, Director of Civil Protection and Firefighters, noted that participants will receive age-appropriate instruction on safety, basic first aid, and the use of tactical equipment and uniforms.

The event is scheduled for August 28 at the municipal Sports Unit. Registration is currently open at the Civil Protection and Firefighters offices.
