Emilija Gašić’s film ‘Vučji dani’ wins Eurimages award

Emilija Gašić’s second feature film project, ‘Vučji dani’ (Wolf Days), has won the Eurimages Co-Production Development Award at the Sarajevo Film Festival’s CineLink Industry Days. The award, valued at 20,000 euros, is intended to support the development of international co-productions.

Produced by Serbia’s Non-Aligned Films in co-production with Istok Films and Restart, the film follows a woman navigating menopause who seeks help from a folk healer. The rituals lead her toward the brink of madness as she searches for liberation. Gašić stated that the film is inspired by women facing misdiagnosis or neglect within patriarchal healthcare systems, aiming to challenge taboos surrounding women’s health and power dynamics in medical relationships.

The project is currently in development and has received support from the Creative Europe MEDIA subprogram. The film’s producer is Dragana Jovović.
