Emilio Percan leads international music seminar in Ohrid

Violinist Emilio Percan and pianist Tamila Gulijeva recently concluded the International Seminar for Violin, Viola, and Chamber Music in Ohrid. The event, held as part of the Ohrid Summer Festival, featured a final concert by participants at the Saint Sophia Church, where attendees received diplomas.

This year's seminar included 11 young musicians from Ukraine, Slovenia, Peru, Serbia, Macedonia, and Armenia, marking the first time participants from Armenia attended. Percan noted that working with young musicians, including master's students seeking to improve their skills, is a significant inspiration.

Established in 2009, the seminar was initially held in Istria, Croatia, before moving to Ohrid in 2014 with support from the Macedonian Ministry of Culture and the city of Ohrid. Over its history, the program has hosted more than 150 students and professionals from various countries, including Russia, Germany, Austria, Croatia, Greece, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
