Emily Atack discusses career shift in Rivals role

Actress Emily Atack has stated that her role in the Disney+ drama series Rivals has “completely changed my life.” The 36-year-old portrays Sarah Stratton in the production, which is set in the 1980s Cotswolds and focuses on the competitive British television industry.

Atack, who first gained prominence in the sitcom The Inbetweeners, noted that while she has had a diverse career in reality television and presenting, her goal has always been to return to acting. She described the transition back to dramatic roles as potentially difficult due to previous typecasting, but expressed gratitude for being welcomed back into the acting profession.
