Emily Compagno named permanent co-host of Fox News ‘The Five’

Fox News has announced that Emily Compagno will join the network’s top-rated program, ‘The Five’, as a permanent full-time co-host starting September 8. Compagno, who has served as a co-host on ‘Outnumbered’ since 2021, will fill the seat previously held by Judge Jeanine Pirro, who departed the network to serve as the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia.

Compagno will join regular co-hosts Greg Gutfeld, Dana Perino, and Jesse Watters. The program’s liberal seat will continue to be occupied by rotating contributors Harold Ford Jr. and Jessica Tarlov. As part of this transition, Compagno will relinquish her role on ‘Outnumbered’, with the network planning to use rotating personalities to fill her position until a permanent replacement is named.

Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott praised Compagno as a “highly accomplished host” whose talent has made her a standout within the company. Before her broadcasting career, Compagno practiced criminal defense and civil litigation and served as a federal managing attorney and acting director at the Social Security Administration.
