Emily Morrison Sets Guinness Record for Most Shark Tattoos
Emily Morrison, a shark biologist and educator from Maine, has earned a Guinness World Record for having the most shark tattoos on a woman’s body. Her collection reached 108 tattoos, including depictions of 71 shark species, fossil teeth and even a real shark tooth. Two additional tattoos were added on camera during this year’s Shark Week, bringing the total to its current count.
Morrison’s tattoos reflect her lifelong mission to replace fear of sharks with fascination. She leads tours that hunt for prehistoric shark fossils and teaches shark conservation. Her story will be featured on Discovery Channel’s program “My Strange Shark Addiction” during Shark Week.
