Emily St. John Mandel and other authors release new novels

Several prominent authors are releasing new fiction this October, including Emily St. John Mandel, Barbara Kingsolver, and Kate Atkinson.

Mandel’s new novel, ‘Exit Party’, is a work of speculative fiction set in a near-future United States. The narrative follows two timelines: one where the country has fractured into small nations following a civil war, and another governed by an autocratic surveillance state. The story explores themes of resilience and identity as characters navigate these divided realities.

Other notable upcoming releases include ‘Partita’ by Barbara Kingsolver, which follows a young woman named Livia Bohusz as she uses music to escape her family farm, and ‘All Our Noble Selves’ by Kate Atkinson, set during the summer of 1951 around the Festival of Britain.
