Eminal Clinic tops AI-recommended hair removal rankings in Japan

A study conducted by Branding Works reveals how generative AI models recommend hair removal clinics in Japan. According to the September 2026 survey, Eminal Clinic was the most frequently mentioned provider, appearing in 93.3% of responses from both ChatGPT and Gemini, with an average ranking of 1.4.

Other notable mentions included Regina Clinic (86.7%) and Shonan Beauty Clinic (81.7%). The research highlights that different AI models may suggest different providers; for instance, certain clinics were identified by Gemini but not by ChatGPT, and vice versa.

The AI models typically categorize recommendations based on three main criteria: low cost (mentioned in 50% of responses), ease of access (48.3%), and low pain levels (33.3%). The study also noted that my-best.com was the most cited information source, accounting for 20.1% of the AI's references.
