Emirates and Lufthansa launch premium‑economy cabins on new A350 routes

Emirates has placed an Airbus A350‑900 on its Dubai‑Taipei (Taoyuan) service, beginning 1 July. The 298‑seat aircraft offers 32 business‑class seats, 28 premium‑economy seats and 238 economy seats. Premium‑economy rows are in a 2‑3‑2 layout with a 40‑inch seat pitch, 19.5‑inch seat width and a 13.3‑inch personal monitor.

Lufthansa will introduce its new “Alegria” cabin on an A350‑900 for the Munich‑Singapore route from 26 October. The configuration provides 4 first‑class seats, 38 business‑class seats, 24 premium‑economy seats and 201 economy seats, totalling 267 seats. The first‑class suite features a one‑metre‑wide seat with temperature control, while business‑class includes door‑accessible suites, 27‑inch 4K screens and extra‑space seats. Both airlines are expanding premium‑economy capacity on long‑haul A350 services.
