Emirates Eagles announce Mickey Arthur and Rovman Powell for Abu Dhabi T10 debut

The newly formed Emirates Eagles have appointed former international head coach Mickey Arthur to lead the franchise for their debut in the 2026 Abu Dhabi T10 tournament. Owned by Maverick Sports and Entertainment, the team is scheduled to compete at the Zayed Cricket Stadium from 7 to 20 November.

West Indies all-rounder Rovman Powell has been named captain of the side. The roster also includes significant international signings, including New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult and West Indies batter Shimron Hetmyer. The franchise aims to establish a long-term presence in the UAE and international cricket through this inaugural season.
