Emirates Global Aluminium and Gulftainer partner to expand UAE exports
Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) and Gulftainer have signed a strategic agreement to expand aluminium exports via the United Arab Emirates’ East Coast. The partnership aims to enhance the efficiency and resilience of EGA’s outbound logistics to support its global customer base.
Under the terms of the deal, EGA will route up to 250,000 tonnes of aluminium through the East Coast during the first year. This volume is projected to increase to 300,000 tonnes in the second year, with the potential for further growth in subsequent years. To support these rising volumes, Gulftainer will develop port capabilities to meet EGA’s specific requirements.
EGA, which is the largest industrial company in the UAE outside of the oil and gas sector, supplies more than 400 customers across over 50 countries. In 2025, the company reported selling more than 2.83 million tonnes of cast metal.
