Emirates rolls out next‑generation airport lounge design in Germany

Emirates Airline is investing more than AED 50 million (about $13‑14 million) in each of its new signature lounges. The first venues with the next‑generation design opened in Munich and Frankfurt, featuring over 50 enhancements such as distinct zones for work, relaxation, socialising and dining, live‑cooking stations, a barista‑mixologist bar, wellness‑focused amenities, upgraded shower suites and a quiet‑zone with sleep accessories. The redesign mirrors the airline’s cabin interior palette with marble, gold accents, herringbone flooring, the back‑lit Ghaf‑tree motif and Rolex clocks displaying global time zones. Additional upgrades include Italian eco‑leather seating, universal power and wireless charging at every seat, and dedicated prayer and breastfeeding rooms.

The rollout will continue with lounges in Manchester (July), Mauritius (August) and Istanbul (October), establishing a global blueprint for Emirates’ premium airport spaces. Access remains complimentary for First‑ and Business‑class passengers and Skywards Platinum/Gold members, while paid entry starts at $125 for lower‑tier Skywards members and $155 for non‑members.
