Emirates Loves Iraq event celebrates heritage in Dubai
More than 15,000 people attended the second edition of ‘Emirates Loves Iraq’ at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City Dubai on October 17. The event celebrated Iraqi heritage and the longstanding ties between the United Arab Emirates and Iraq.
Attendees experienced various cultural displays, including replicas of Iraqi landmarks such as the Samarra spiral minaret and Baghdad’s Martyrs’ Square. The celebration featured traditional music, food, art, and heritage installations designed to connect the Iraqi expatriate community with their roots and share their culture with UAE residents.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, attended the event alongside Samer Salman Abed, acting consul-general of Iraq in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. The gathering brought together diplomats, business figures, and families to honor the fraternal ties between the two nations.
