Emirates marks 30 years of flight operations in Australia

Emirates is marking 30 years of operations in Australia, a milestone that began with its inaugural service to Melbourne in June 1996. Since then, the airline has expanded its footprint to include Sydney in 2000, Perth in 2002, Brisbane in 2003, and Adelaide in 2012.

Currently, the airline operates 70 weekly services across these five Australian gateways, providing connections to nearly 140 destinations worldwide via its hub in Dubai. Barry Brown, Divisional Vice President Australasia, noted that the airline’s commitment extends beyond flights to include investments in Australian sport, culture, and communities, as well as strengthening trade links.

Since 2018, Emirates has utilized the Airbus A380 for its three daily Melbourne services, facilitating seamless connections to the United Kingdom and Europe.
