Emirates rolls out next‑generation airport lounge concept in Istanbul, Manchester and beyond
Emirates is investing more than AED 50 million (about AU$20 million) in each new lounge as it introduces a next‑generation signature lounge design across its global network. The concept, inspired by the airline’s latest aircraft cabins, includes dedicated zones for dining, work, relaxation and wellness, live cooking stations, barista and mixologist bars, private workspaces with wireless charging, spa‑inspired shower suites and quiet zones. Locally inspired food and beverage offerings and contemporary interiors draw on Dubai’s design language.
The first lounges with the new design opened in Munich and Frankfurt. Manchester is scheduled to follow this month, with openings planned for Mauritius in August and Istanbul in October. Emirates now operates 42 dedicated lounges worldwide, including eight at its Dubai hub and locations in Australian gateways such as Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
Deputy President and Chief Operations Officer Adel Al Redha said, “Our investment in our next‑generation signature lounge concept reflects Emirates’ continued commitment to delivering a seamless, premium experience at every stage of the journey.”
