Emlak Konut denies 20 billion TL Bursa land purchase amid parliamentary inquiries

Emlak Konut has denied reports claiming the company purchased a 100,000-square-meter plot of land in Bursa's Nilüfer district for approximately 20 billion TL. The company clarified that the land was acquired through a revenue-sharing model with Bainbridge Gayrimenkul Ticaret A. Ş., meaning no immediate capital was paid out. Under this agreement, Emlak Konut will receive a share of the income generated from the project following a tender process, and the title was transferred to Emlak Konut on August 7, 2026, with all transfer costs covered by the transferring company.

Separately, İYİ Party MP Selçuk Türkoğlu has brought several high-value financial transactions to the agenda of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. The inquiries focus on the sale of a 70% stake in Bainbridge Gayrimenkul by Katılımevim Tasarruf Finansman A. Ş., a transaction reportedly valued at 120 million USD. Türkoğlu has requested investigations from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance regarding the movement of these funds and whether MASAK has conducted any reviews. Additionally, the MP questioned the connection between this sale and Pusula Finans Holding's decision to purchase up to 10 billion TL in Katılımevim shares.
