Emlur reinforces cleaning operations in João Pessoa during holiday

The Municipal Special Urban Cleaning Authority (Emlur) has implemented a reinforced cleaning operation in João Pessoa during the Brazilian Independence Day holiday. Due to an increased influx of residents and tourists, cleaning teams have been deployed in shifts throughout the morning, afternoon, and night.

Special focus is being placed on the coastal area (Orla), specifically the stretch between Bessa Beach and the Seixas region, to maintain public spaces. Emlur superintendent Ricardo Veloso commended the dedication of the agents working through the holiday.

Regular residential waste collection continues in the city's neighborhoods. Authorities have urged citizens and visitors to use appropriate trash receptacles and avoid irregular disposal in public spaces, including Solon de Lucena Park and areas hosting civic parades.
