Emma Coronel debuts as streamer, shares details of life with El Chapo

Emma Coronel Aispuro, the former wife of Sinaloa Cartel leader Joaquín ‘El Chapo’ Guzmán, has made her debut as a streamer on the Kick platform. During a multi-hour live broadcast with content creators Víctor Ordóñez and Guillermo Peña, Coronel shared personal details regarding her life, her marriage, and her time in U.S. federal prison.

Coronel addressed several aspects of her history, including her initial meeting with Guzmán at age 17 and the private nature of their marriage, which she claims was far less ostentatious than media portrayals suggest. She also detailed her experience in prison, noting that she spent nearly a year in isolation, faced language barriers, and required psychiatric treatment to manage anxiety and the emotional toll of being separated from her twin daughters.

Additionally, Coronel reacted to the Netflix film ‘La Captura,’ which depicts Guzmán’s arrest. She expressed that she has no intention of watching the production and suggested she would prefer to be involved in a future project that tells her story from her own perspective to ensure accuracy. She also clarified that recent viral rumors regarding lavish celebrations for her daughters' fifteenth birthdays were inaccurate, stating they were private family events.
