Emma Raducanu finds inspiration in Andre Agassi's autobiography

British tennis player Emma Raducanu has cited Andre Agassi’s autobiography, ‘Open’, as a source of inspiration during her current injury recovery. Raducanu, who is currently sidelined due to a stress fracture in her right leg, stated in an interview that she finds Agassi’s detailed account of rebuilding his career particularly relatable.

Raducanu noted a connection between her own experience of early success—following her 2021 US Open victory at age 18—and Agassi’s trajectory. She expressed interest in how Agassi navigated his professional lows in the late 1990s by creating a personalized training regimen to return to the top of the rankings.

Currently ranked 98th, Raducanu has not competed since June and has withdrawn from several recent events, including Wimbledon and the WTA 1000 in Beijing, as she focuses on her rehabilitation.
