The Emma Rossi Association held the concluding ceremony for the 4th edition of the Emma Rossi International Award at the Teatro Titano on September 24. This edition commemorated the 70th anniversary of the 1955 law that established San Marino’s mandatory social security and public health system.
Seventeen candidates from Italy, Argentina, Great Britain, Republic of the Congo, Gaza, and San Marino were recognized for their contributions to medicine, scientific research, and social and humanitarian assistance. Francine Ntoumi was named the winner of this edition. Additionally, Aliaa Shamallak, a Palestinian humanitarian activist and architect from Gaza proposed by the University of San Marino, received a special merit mention.
The event included remarks from Association President Patrizia Busignani and San Marino’s Secretary of State for Health and Social Security, Massimo Andrea Ugolini.
