Emma Sleep expands Taiwan presence with localized products
German sleep technology brand Emma Sleep is expanding its presence in Taiwan by developing localized products and increasing its physical retail footprint. Following years of double-digit annual growth since entering the market in 2021, the company is tailoring its offerings to meet specific Taiwanese consumer preferences and environmental conditions.
To address Taiwan’s humid and hot climate, Emma has developed specialized mattresses featuring graphene, breathable memory foam, and high-breathability covers designed to regulate temperature. Additionally, recognizing a local preference for firmer support, the company has introduced products with 3D structural support layers and reinforced edges to prevent sagging.
Emma is also scaling its physical operations, currently maintaining nine locations across seven cities in Taiwan, including flagship stores in Kaohsiung, Taichung, Taipei, and New Taipei City. The company aims to expand to 13 stores by 2027, making Taiwan the country with the highest density of Emma retail locations globally. The expansion includes integrated services such as online customer support, a logistics tracking system, and a 100-day trial period with a 10-year warranty.
