Emma Stone stars in ‘The Catch’ as filming concludes

Filming has concluded for ‘The Catch’, a romantic comedy starring Emma Stone and Chris Pine. This project marks Stone’s first film following her decade-long collaboration with director Yorgos Lanthimos.

Directed by Dave McCary, Stone’s husband, the film is produced through their company, Fruit Tree. The plot centers on the world of baseball, where Stone portrays a devoted fan whose mistake leads to her team losing a critical game, subsequently forcing her to deal with guilt and unwanted publicity.

The ensemble cast includes Tim Robbins, Sissy Spacek, Ashley Pantiglia, and comedian Druski. Cinematography is handled by Sayombhu Mukdeeprom, known for his work with Apichatpong Weerasethakul and Luca Guadagnino. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release by Universal Pictures in May 2027.
