Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe, and Johannes Radebe named new Strictly hosts

Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe, and Johannes Radebe have been announced as the new hosting trio for the BBC ballroom dancing competition Strictly Come Dancing. The new presenters succeed Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, who departed the program late last year after 11 years.

The new hosts expressed surprise at the selection, with Willis describing the BBC’s decision to pair the three together as a “curveball.” Widdicombe, who previously appeared as a contestant in a Christmas special, noted that while he once dreamed of competing in a full series, he is now “giddy with excitement” to step into the presenting role.

Addressing the pressure of following established presenters, Willis stated she is “ready for the comparisons” and the potential for negative opinions, emphasizing the goal is to bring joy to viewers. Radebe added that the former hosts reached out to offer advice and well wishes for the upcoming season.
