Emmanuel College Owerri alumni renovate classrooms and subsidize exam fees

The Progressives of the Unique 1988 Set, an alumni group of Emmanuel College Owerri, has completed a series of educational interventions at their alma mater in Imo State, Nigeria. The group unveiled a renovated five-classroom block and provided financial assistance to students facing economic hardship.

In addition to structural improvements, the alumni group paid National Examinations Council (NECO) examination fees for financially disadvantaged Junior Secondary School III students to ensure academic continuity. They also covered West African Examinations Council (WAEC) centre revalidation fees to support the school’s examination readiness.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Engr. Obii Madumere emphasized that the mission was to create an environment where students can pursue excellence and noted that the impact should be measured by the futures shaped within the facilities. The handover ceremony was attended by government officials, school administrators, and teachers.
