Emmanuel Emenike calls for probe into alleged hospital raids

Former Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike has called for an investigation into two alleged violent raids on his private medical facility, Emenike Hospital, in Owerri, Imo State.

Emenike claims the first incident occurred on September 25, involving the Divisional Police Officer of Owerri Urban Division and officers from the Oji Police Station. A second raid allegedly took place on October 21, involving both police officers and officials from the Imo State Waste Management Agency.

The former footballer alleges that during these incursions, staff and patients were assaulted and harassed. He further stated that the hospital administrator and a cashier were forcibly arrested and taken to the Oji Police Station, where he claims they were brutalized.

Emenike is demanding the immediate release of the detained employees, medical attention for those injured, and a formal investigation. He has also requested the preservation of CCTV footage to provide evidence of the incidents. As of the latest reports, the Imo State Police Command and the state waste management agency have not publicly responded to these allegations.
