Emmanuel Emenike criticizes Nigerian governors over alleged embezzlement

Former Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike has publicly criticized several Nigerian state governors, accusing them of mismanaging public funds and prioritizing personal gain over state development.

In a social media post, Emenike expressed frustration with the lack of long-term planning among political leaders. He specifically questioned why security personnel continue to protect political office holders despite facing significant economic hardships themselves.

Emenike, a key member of Nigeria’s 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winning squad, described the current state of the country as an ‘embezzlement ground’ and lamented the perceived decline of the nation since his international playing career ended.
