Emmanouil Karalis Claims Sixth Straight Pole Vault Title at Greek Nationals

At the Greek National Athletics Championships held in Volos's Panhellenic Stadium, pole‑vaulter Emmanouil Karalis secured his sixth consecutive national crown. After opening with a 5.66 m clearance, he cleared 5.80 m on his third attempt and then missed three attempts at 6.00 m, earning the gold medal.

Karalis was followed by Giannis Rizos of Thessaloniki, who placed second with a 5.56 m jump, while the bronze went to Giorgos Papanas… of PAOK and Antonis Santas of AEK, both at 5.12 m. In the men’s hammer throw, Giannis Korakidis captured his first national title with a 75.57 m throw, and in the women’s high jump Panagiota Dosi claimed the fourth personal national title with a 1.83 m clearance.

The victory keeps Karalis dominant in the event since 2021 and sets his focus on the upcoming European Championships in Birmingham later this month.
