Emmanuel Lubezki to shoot Taylor Swift's new music video

Taylor Swift has announced that three-time Oscar-winning Mexican cinematographer Emmanuel “El Chivo” Lubezki will handle the photography for her new music video, “Patient Zero”. The video is part of her upcoming project, “The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore”.

Swift will direct the video, which features Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell. The world premiere is scheduled for September 27, 2026, during the MTV Video Music Awards. This follows Swift’s previous collaborations with other prominent Mexican cinematographers, such as Rodrigo Prieto, who worked on videos including “Cardigan” and “Fortnight”.

Lubezki is widely recognized for his work on films such as “Gravity”, “Birdman”, and “The Revenant”, and is noted for his expertise in using natural light and long camera movements.
