Emmanuel Macron tours historic Split following MED9 summit

Following the conclusion of the MED9 summit, French President Emmanuel Macron took a tour of the historic center of Split, Croatia. Accompanied by Split Mayor Tomislav Šuta, Minister of Culture Nina Obuljen Koržinek, and former mayor Andro Krstulović Opara, Macron visited several key landmarks.

During the walk, the French President showed particular interest in the 3,500-year-old Egyptian sphinx located at the Peristyle, as well as the marble columns and various reliefs within the ancient complex. He also visited the Cathedral of Saint Domnius and the Vestibule. Krstulović Opara noted that Macron expressed great admiration for the city, remarking on the quality of life in the region and promising to return in the future.
