Emmanuel N. Nnorom appointed Group President of United Bank for Africa

United Bank for Africa (UBA) has appointed Emmanuel N. Nnorom as the new Group President. Nnorom returns to the institution with extensive leadership experience across several major African corporations.

Prior to this appointment, Nnorom served as the Director General of Heirs Holdings, a conglomerate with interests in financial services, energy, healthcare, hospitality, real estate, and technology. He also held the position of President and CEO of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc (Transcorp), where he managed a diverse portfolio including Transcorp Power, Transcorp Hilton, Transcorp Hotels Calabar, and Transcorp Energy.

Nnorom has a long-standing history with UBA, having spent over eight years in various executive roles. His previous positions at the bank include CEO of UBA Africa, where he oversaw operations in 18 countries, as well as Group Chief Operating Officer, Group Chief Financial Officer, and Executive Director of Finance, Risk, and General Management. Most recently, he served as a non-executive director on the UBA Board of Directors.
