Emmanuel Petit discusses Arsenal transfer targets

Former Arsenal and France player Emmanuel Petit has shared his views on potential transfer targets for the club. Regarding Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior, Petit suggested that Arsenal ‘dodged a bullet’ by not signing him. While acknowledging the player's immense technical talent, Petit expressed concerns that his temperament and ego might not align with Mikel Arteta’s management style or the humble culture of the current Arsenal squad.

In contrast, Petit identified Julian Alvarez as the ideal striker for the Gunners. He noted that Alvarez possesses the technical skills, movement, and familiarity with the Premier League required to fit the team's DNA. Although Arsenal showed interest in the Argentine attacker, a deal did not materialize due to the player's preference for a move to Barcelona. Petit suggested a winter transfer window move for Alvarez remains unlikely given his current situation at Atletico Madrid.
