Emmerdale characters Cathy Hope and Samson Dingle face exits

Several characters in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale are facing permanent departures or limited returns. Cathy Hope, portrayed by Gabrielle Dowling, has been confirmed to have left the village permanently. After a storyline involving PMDD and the death of her brother Heath, the character departed for a cruise and has since reportedly settled in Canada.

Additionally, Samson Dingle, played by Sam Hall, is unlikely to return to the show following his upcoming release from prison. Samson previously left the series after being involved in a storyline where he framed Matty Barton for a stabbing. While the show has hinted at his release, reports suggest there are currently no plans to bring the character back to the Dales.
