Emmerdale introduces new villain Steve, sparking conflict for Kev and his son Lewis

The British soap Emmerdale will add a new character, Steve (played by Jason Done), who has a criminal past with longtime resident Kev Barton. Kev, portrayed by Chris Coghill, says Steve is "like Kev before he found out about Lewis" and that his return threatens the new direction Kev is trying to give his son Lewis. Steve’s presence is expected to disrupt Lewis’s 24th‑birthday plans and cause further trouble for other villagers.

Actors note that Steve is determined to bond with Lewis and will stop at nothing to win his trust, while Kev worries the old partnership could pull him back into trouble.
