Emmerdale plans fake-death twist for Sadie King return

British soap Emmerdale will bring back Patsy Kensit's character Sadie King this summer. A report in The Sun on Sunday says the comeback will involve a fake‑death storyline, not a simple resurrection but a plot where Sadie pretends to die as part of her return.

An ITV spokesperson declined to comment on the speculation. Emmerdale boss Laura Shaw said the upcoming season will be “one of our most intense yet”, promising explosive secrets and new alliances that could “tear the village apart”. Characters likely to be involved include Jimmy King, Robert Sugden, Cain Dingle and Charity Dingle. The show airs weeknights at 8 p.m. on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
