Emmerdale sees Mackenzie Boyd confront blackmail and assault scandal

Emmerdale's Mackenzie Boyd (played by Lawrence Robb) is caught up in a storyline where his wife Charity Dingle was blackmailed by surgeon Dr Caitlin Todd over a hidden pregnancy with Ross Barton. Todd tried to extort £100,000 and later sexually assaulted Charity. Charity reported the assault, but police said there was insufficient evidence and the Crown Prosecution Service will treat the assault and blackmail as separate cases. Furious, Mackenzie confronted Todd at her Sheffield office demanding answers.

Outside the show, Lawrence Robb confirmed he is dating West End actress Pamela Blair. The pair first appeared publicly at the Scottish BAFTAs and were later spotted together on holiday in Antigua. Robb previously dated actress Joanne Thomson.
