Emmerreci radio introduces Morse code weather bulletins

The Castel San Pietro-based radio station Emmerreci has launched ‘Meteomar’, a weekly program dedicated to maritime weather bulletins. Airing every Saturday at 9:00 AM, the segment utilizes Morse code to transmit official meteorological data from the Aeronautica Militare.

Curated by the Morse Group (Maritime Operators Radiotelegraphy Service), the initiative aims to preserve the cultural history of radio communication. Station Director Gianpaolo Burchiellaro and Artistic Director Bruno La Voce stated that the project serves as a cultural effort to honor the legacy of telegraphy, noting its historical significance as a vital emergency transmission system.
