Empacar and Aguas Magallanes receive environmental certifications

Empacar S.A. has achieved the Silver Level of the Business Eco-efficiency Seal in Bolivia. The distinction, awarded during the 2026 Circular Economy Forum in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, recognizes the company for its environmental practices and resource optimization. The certification process involves self-diagnosis and external audits to verify sustainability indicators, a model adapted to Bolivia through a collaboration between Cainco, Fundares, and international partners including Germany and Peru.

In Chile, Aguas Magallanes has obtained the Organizational Quantification Seal from the HuellaChile program, awarded by the Ministry of the Environment. This recognition validates the company's measurement of greenhouse gas emissions. The utility provider is utilizing this audited baseline to guide future reduction measures, including solar energy installation and the valorization of sanitary sludge for soil improvement.
