Empatel Datacenter celebrates 15 years in La Pampa

The Empresa Pampeana de Telecomunicaciones (Empatel) is marking the 15th anniversary of its datacenter in La Pampa, Argentina. The facility serves as a critical infrastructure hub for the province, supporting the provincial fiber optic network, data storage, and digital transformation services.

Since its inauguration, the datacenter has undergone several modernization processes, including expanding operational capacity, implementing high-efficiency energy cooling systems, and strengthening cybersecurity protocols to meet international industry standards.

The facility currently provides hosting and disaster recovery services to the public sector, private companies, SMEs, and cooperatives. It is a key component in providing internet access to 55% of households in the province, as well as supporting essential public institutions such as schools, hospitals, and police stations.
