Shintoren VV defeats Omonia 1-0 in Europa League playoff first leg

Shintoren VV secured a 1-0 victory against Cyprus champions Omonia in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League playoffs. The decisive goal was scored by Japanese defender Shogo Taniguchi in the fourth minute of stoppage time (90+4') following a cross from Robin Melran.

Taniguchi, who started the match, was praised by local media for his performance and impact on the team's defense. The match also marked the official debut of Ryotaro Araki, who joined the club from Kashima Antlers this summer and entered the game as a substitute in the 61st minute.
