Employee Engagement Tools and Surveys Gain Traction as Companies Seek Higher Productivity

Companies are increasingly turning to employee engagement surveys and digital tools to boost performance, retain staff, and improve communication. A template developed with Freie Universität Berlin offers 44 sample questions and a trademarked 72‑question survey on the Honestly platform, aiming to measure how job demands and resources affect engagement.

A June 2023 Gartner survey found only 31 % of employees feel engaged, highlighting a widespread challenge. In response, 93 % of organizations have adopted or plan to adopt a digital‑first strategy, deploying a range of engagement solutions. A recent guide lists 30 leading tools for 2026, including Slack, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Asana, Culture Amp and others, to help remote and frontline workers stay connected and motivated.
