Low job security and unprepared managers raise concerns for Polish workforce

A recent ADP Research "People at Work 2026" report shows that only 22 % of workers worldwide and 21 % in Poland feel secure in their jobs, despite low unemployment. The study attributes the uncertainty to automation, artificial intelligence and process optimisation, noting that blue‑collar employees with repetitive tasks feel the greatest threat. Regional variations are highlighted, with the lowest confidence in Japan (5 %) and the highest in Nigeria (38 %).

Separately, Gallup research indicates that managers account for about 70 % of the variance in employee engagement, yet six out of ten managers feel ill‑prepared for their roles and 75 % report burnout. Companies often promote top specialists to managerial positions without assessing leadership competencies, leading to reduced team performance and higher stress for new managers. Experts suggest better preparation, support and upskilling to improve both job security perception and managerial effectiveness.
