Employers' Federation of Ceylon appoints new leadership for 2026/27

The Employers’ Federation of Ceylon (EFC) has appointed new leadership for the 2026/27 financial year following its 97th Annual General Meeting. Sanath Manatunge, Managing Director and CEO of the Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, has been named the new Chairman. Dinal Peiris, Chairman and Managing Director of the Lanka Aluminium Industries PLC Group, will serve as Vice Chairman.

In his inaugural address, Chairman Manatunge emphasized the federation's role in contributing to labour law reforms that support future-ready businesses and driving responsible business initiatives. He highlighted the importance of engaging with tripartite stakeholders to strengthen the employment landscape in Sri Lanka.
