Employment programs drive job insertion in Huelva region

Employment initiatives in the Huelva region are facilitating job market entry for vulnerable groups and youth. The Mancomunidad de Desarrollo Condado de Huelva has implemented the Professional Experiences for Employment (EPES) program, which has already benefited 50 unemployed individuals this year. The program, active until 2027, aims to provide 160 paid professional experiences to improve employability for those facing significant barriers to work, including people at risk of social exclusion, individuals with disabilities, and ethnic minorities.

In the municipality of Cartaya, the Activa-T Joven program has secured employment for 14 young people aged 18 to 29. Funded by the Junta de Andalucía with European Union support through the FSE+ Andalucía 2021-2027 program, these six-month contracts focus on projects of general interest, such as environmental education, local development, and forest management. The initiative includes reserved positions for people with disabilities to promote inclusive labor access.
