Empresarias de Galicia holds X Business Congress in Vigo

The Empresarias de Galicia association held its X Business Congress, titled ‘Acción e Implicación’, in Vigo to address the gap between women in executive roles and women in entrepreneurship. The event focused on strategies and experiences from prominent female leaders to inspire attendees to launch and consolidate business projects.

Key speakers included Tona Martínez, counselor at Finsa and president of the Asociación Gallega de Empresa Familiar (AGEF), who emphasized the need to foster entrepreneurship among youth and women to generate wealth and employment. Martínez noted that while laws exist to support equality, practical implementation is still lagging due to unconscious sexism.

Other featured speakers included Virginia Pazo, CEO of Coosy, who highlighted the necessity of sacrifice and dedication in managing a growing business, and Marta Pardo, a recognized professional in the Global Gurus rankings. The congress aimed to provide female entrepreneurs with much-needed professional references and leadership strategies.
